Yesterday's World ("the app", "we", "us") is a daily news-trivia game. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it short because our data practices are simple: we collect only what's needed to run the game, and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
You can play without creating an account. When you do, we create an anonymous identifier so we can save your scores, streak, and place you on leaderboards. This identifier is not linked to your name or email.
Signing in is optional and only used to save your progress across devices and let you join private groups. If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive and store the name and email address you authorize Apple to share. You may use Apple's "Hide My Email" feature.
We do not collect your contacts, precise location, browsing history, or advertising identifiers. The app contains no third-party ad networks or analytics trackers.
Data is stored using Supabase, our backend and database provider, on our behalf. It is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
If you allow notifications, we send a local daily reminder to play. These are scheduled on your device; you can turn them off anytime in iOS Settings.
Your chosen username (or "Player" if you haven't set one) and your daily score may be visible to other players on global and group leaderboards. Your email is never shown to other users.
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
You can edit your username and photo, sign out, or request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Deleting your account removes your profile, scores, and group memberships.
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
